What would make you join a multiplayer tournament?
I’m trying to get ideas for future multiplayer tournaments.

Yea, stability is definitely one of the biggest issues.
I wonder if dedicated servers are actually feasible with how the game is built though. It might need some kind of mod/custom setup instead of just hosting a normal server.
I agree DE is probably better overall, but it being more demanding could make it harder to get current players to switch if some people can’t run it well.
Still worth looking into though.
The thing that I would like to see is a dedicated server for our competitive scene and cut the ties with Game ranger.
In-game disconnects/interruptions are very frustrating let alone a player DC during a game. I wouldn't mind to play on 100-200 ping as an European if you plan to setup a server host in America, as long as the game runs without interruptions
Secondly, for our competitive community I think Stronghold Definitive Edition fits better, mainly because it looks better, the lobby allows us to select the positions and the game itself got improved.
Not to mention it will be more pleasing for the competitive viewer.
